5:30 pm The Future of the European Project: Reform, Resistance or Reversal?

Europa jovoje
MCC Győr Center
9021 Győr Árpád út 34.

The European Union stands at a crossroads shaped by geopolitical rivalry, economic pressure and internal political fragmentation. In a multipolar world defined by power politics and strategic competition, can the EU adapt quickly and decisively enough to remain relevant? What structural reforms are both necessary and politically realistic — in areas such as decision-making, fiscal coordination or strategic policy? At the same time, is further integration a viable path forward, or are we entering an era of resistance and recalibration? The panel brings together perspectives on whether the European project now calls for deep reform, cautious consolidation, or a more fundamental strategic rethink to secure its long-term stability and credibility.
