5:00 pm Drugs: Humanities Deadliest Threat?
MCC Miskolc Center
3530 Miskolc Szemere Bertalan utca 4.Alex Berenson, writer, former New York Times reporter, will share his thoughts on how the decades-long effort to medicalize, normalize, legalize, and promote drug under the rubric of “harm reduction” has been a public health and human catastrophe and how it must be defeated. According to his opinion for too long, especially in the United States, we have pretended that drug use is some kind of morally neutral activity rather than a deep threat to health and welfare. Some people will always use drugs, and we need to try to give them the tools to stop, but we have an obligation to discourage them - and to discourage those who are unsure of ever starting. Join us for an exciting lecture that will inspire us to think about what we, as members of society, can do to prevent the spread of drug use or help others who might have fallen into the trap of drugs.
