Andrea Bianchi
Author, Education Officer at MCC Brussels
Andrea Bianchi is an Italian scholar with a passion for intellectual debate and a keen analytical eye for global politics. He began his academic journey at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, where he studied history and civilization, before specializing in geopolitics under Marco Giaconi, former director of the Centro Militare di Studi Strategici di Roma. His studies and experiences have taken him far beyond academic confines, providing him with a nuanced understanding of international dynamics and cultural interactions.
Andrea has translated several works by American scholar Angelo Codevilla, particularly those examining the rise of ruling classes in France and the character of nations. He has also edited and published numerous historical documents based on his university research, which explored the transition of Italian writers and historians from Fascism to Communism, a topic often neglected in scholarly debate. This project culminated in his book Una storia delle idee, which offers an insightful look at the evolution of intellectual life in twentieth-century Italy.
In addition to his academic work, Andrea is the author of Introduzione al Marocco, a study of the historical connections between southern Europe and Morocco. Outside his research, he enjoys exploring city centres, studying art, and observing the subtleties of urban life. He is now a member of MCC Brussels, where he contributes his expertise to discussions addressing Europe’s most pressing contemporary challenges.
