József Haller
Head of the Center for Neurobiology at MCC
József Haller has studied animal behavior for approximately 35 years, with a particular focus on the development and study of animal models for human psychiatric disorders. His primary research areas include aggression, stress, anxiety, endocannabinoid signaling, and their interactions. Early in his career, he was interested in the biochemical energetics of behavior, later transitioning to its neuroendocrinology, and eventually focusing on its neurobiology.
He has been highly active in the international scientific community, with 90% of his publications appearing in international scientific journals. In addition, he has authored several scientific books, including three published by Hungarian publishers and two by international publishers. In recent years, his research focus has shifted from animal experiments to the study of human behavior.
