Head of the School of Law at MCC

Lénárd Sándor is Head of the School of Law and the Center for International Law at Mathias Corvinus Collegium, and Associate Professor of Law. He also leads the Barna Horváth Hungary Law and Liberty Circle, which collaborates with the Federalist Society. He holds a J.D. (summa cum laude) and Ph.D. in public international law from Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and an M.B.A. in international economics from Canisius University in New York.

Lénárd has served as counsel at the Constitutional Court of Hungary, advisor at the European Parliament, and visiting researcher at the U.S. Federal Judicial Center. His teaching and research focus on international economic law, globalization, and constitutional issues. He has published widely, including with Edward Elgar and the Central European Journal of Comparative Law, and is the author of Constitutional Journey in the United States (MCC Press, 2022).

Fluent in English and French, he has been a visiting scholar in Denmark and Canada. At MCC, his center’s research focuses on the legal dimensions of globalization, international cultural heritage protection, and the future of European integration.
