András Székely
Senior Research Fellow at Kopp Mária Institute for Demography and Families
András Székely is a senior research fellow at the Kopp Mária Institute for Demography and Families. As a researcher, he has participated in the organization, implementation, and analysis of several national surveys. His main areas of interest are mental health protection (especially among young people), mental health prevention, and the relationship between family, mental health, and physical health. He was president of the Three Princes and Three Princesses Movement and the Hungarian Association of Mental Health First Aid Telephone Services, and is currently the Hungarian representative of the European Alliance Against Depression program and the initiator of the You Can Talk to Me initiative. He is particularly interested in crisis management and promoting the destigmatization and treatment of people with mental health issues. As part of these programs, he holds communication training sessions and workshops at universities and schools for students and teachers.
