Xavier Raufer
Criminologist, Essayist
Xavier Raufer holds a doctorate in geopolitics from the Sorbonne University in Paris and, as a criminologist, has been studying social and political violence, terrorism, and organized crime since 1975.
He is the head of the Department of Contemporary Criminal Threats at Paris II Assas University and a visiting professor at several international universities. He is a regular contributor to numerous news and media outlets and the editor of a series of books on criminology published by CNRS-Editions.
